Dry Erase Markers
So contrary to popular belief dry erase markers don’t just wipe off the skin. This is just another reason of why all markers and crayons in my house are washable or put up. Well I have a desk draw full of dry erase markers from when I was working and my 3 year old was coloring some pictures and had grabbed a few. No big deal I figured since he had be keeping it on the paper like he is supposed to right. Wrong! He showed me one of his pictures and I told him how nice it was and went back to checking emails. Well I could hear him still coloring and thinking wow he is being so good and quiet. That’s normally the queue for him being up to no good and I was right for turning around to check. In less than 5 minutes the child had colored designs all over his leg and foot and then all of his toes. Not just his toe nails no but the whole toe! So of course I took the markers from him explaining once again that we don’t color our bodies (since he likes to every time he colors) and how we only color on the paper as I tried to wipe it all off. So yeah needless to say it didn’t all come off. Who knows maybe it’s because I was using a baby wipe but that was the easiest thing to do since everyone is asleep which is where he should be. So now he has some black on his toes still and some weird scribbles on his leg that looks like some gang tags you would see on the side of a building. And now all I can think is how it’s summer and he is wearing shorts and when we leave the house people are going to see his legs all marked up with faded black marker, and thank god it was only one leg and not his whole body like normally with his washable ones. So now I get to find a new place for the dry erase markers, who knows I may just through them away.
