School
So my son was born at the end of the year and here they have a cutoff day that your child has to be a certain age before they can go to school. My son misses that day. He has to be 4 before September 1st to go to preschool and 5 in order to go to kindergarten and there is no fighting it. I hate that because now my son will be 19 when he graduates from high school. I have been told by a lot of people that it’s a good thing and that boys develop slower so it will help him in the end. I am not sure I totally believe that. I feel for him because he will constantly have to explain why he is older than all the other kids in his class. Oh and what’s up with not being enough slots for preschool for all the families in town. I hear that here you have to get up and get in line at the school at 5am just to try to get them registered. So if that’s the case then why don’t they have more classes set up to handle the extras and then maybe they could push the date back. Anyway I am just mad that my son has to wait an extra year to go to school when the boy is ready now for preschool well at least I think so most of the time.
